Goodwill ambassador

Ambassador

At Elohim Urban Mission, volunteers are the heart and hands of our ministry. We deeply value the dedication and compassion that each volunteer brings to our mission of serving people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. By offering your time, talents, and love, you become a vital part of a community committed to holistic healing-spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically.

Community Service

Community service at Elohim Urban Mission helps break down stigma and social barriers that often isolate vulnerable populations, fostering connection, hope, and empowerment. Your contribution supports vital programs such as outreach, counseling, and advocacy, which improve treatment adherence, retention in care, and overall quality of life for those we serve.

Our Impact

Fort Lauderdale

  • Under the leadership of Rev. Lamont Lewis, the community adopted a holistic view of health, with a strong emphasis on mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being.
  • It addressed social injustice, stigma, and prejudice in order to support populations impacted by HIV/AIDS.
  • In order to reduce the socioeconomic causes contributing to the HIV epidemic, the group works with people, community organizations, and government agencies.
  • Efforts were made to eradicate homophobia and other types of discrimination while promoting inclusion.

Chicago

  • Elohim Urban Mission operates in Chicago as a component of various programs. Initiatives focus on providing homeless and underprivileged families with access to vital services, including education, assistance, and support.
  • The Chicago mission places a strong emphasis on strengthening marginalized communities through educational initiatives and hands-on support.
  • It involves meeting urgent needs while promoting stability over the long term for people and families facing hardship.

Core Values and Impact

  • Principles of social justice activism and spiritual development serve as the foundation for Elohim Urban Mission's work.
  • Elohim Urban Mission promotes holistic health while addressing systemic problems like stigma and injustice in an effort to empower individuals.
  • Its dedication to tackling both regional difficulties and more general social justice issues is demonstrated by its dual presence in Fort Lauderdale and Chicago.
